A violinist, Sydney Wells, gets a corneal transplant to return her sight, but soon after she begins seeing disturbing images. Shadowy figures and silent people who turn out to be the dead begin plagueing the transplant recipient.
The idea has potential, but the execution was lacking. All in all, The Eye, is just dull. The shadowy figures that represent death are too fleeting to be scary save in one scene.

Sydney goes on a mission to solve the mystery of her eyes by tracking down the donor to Mexico where she learns her donor saw visions much like she does. The ending is pretty cool, but the previous 2/3s of the movie possibly makes anything exciting a pleasant diversion.

The Eye falls into the PG-13 pitfall of trying to be scary, but not really going through with it.
